I have a 2007 XB12X, that I replaced the engine with a 2009 thunderstorm engine and electronics the Beast just went 50000 miles still pulls like a tractor a very fast tractor
'95 Buell S2, '97 HD wide glide, '01 Buell M2, '07 DR650, '07 HD XLHC, '07 Buell XB9SR, '16 BMW R1200RT, '18 KTM 1290SAS, '23 HD Lowrider ST
my M2 is basically a museum piece. 6500 miles, race kit, mint condition. With 160HP, i ride the KTM the most, the DR for running errands, the Beemer for my long distance iron butt rides. The new HD is probably going to go away. too big, too heavy, and I worry about that 117" engine melting down on me with some of the oil temps ive seen. My XB has been on the lift for 2 years now, slowly being converted into a sport tourer and the Glide gets ridden to the bar and back. After all, that's what it was designed to do, look cool at the bar ;-)
Out of all the Buells i've owned through the years, I think I miss my XB9SX the most. I had the most fun on that bike and should have never traded it in for the Uly.
The Uly turned out to be the worst Buell i've ever owned.
Also have owned a 98' S3 and a 95' S2 with a few Harley's mixed in as well. My Uly is by far the most comfortable to ride but my favorite Buell will always be the S2.
