Buell S2 Restomod

In the old Badweb I started a thread about rebuilding an S2 as a restomod.
I would like to continue the thread here in the new forum.
I bought a frame with the VIN 4MTR....0819 with a German "vehicle registration document".
As the engine base I bought a black X1 engine block with a pressed crankshaft.
The engine will completely rebuilt.

I first added the S2 registry.

The S2 Restomod will be a 1-seater. I made a new 1-seater rear section in the S2 style from epoxy laminate.

A good friend converted the frame plates for me in the RSS1200 style

I use the Jolly Sidestand Fix

I got a set of nice PM wheels and polished them.

The brake disc is an S1 brake disc with improved floaters.

I overhauled a milled PM brake caliper and equipped it with new brake pistons from Barn_Buell.

The brake caliper has been newly anodized.

Just curious, why you anodized the brake caliper? I'm starting to retore a 2000 X1 that has been sitting in my garage since 2008. The front brake drags quite hard, so I'm guessing the caliper needs a rebuild. Does anodizing add to functionality or is it strictly to preserve the part? Looking forward to updates on your project.
